The Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR Tollway) runs from Sto. Tomas to Batangas City, continuing where SLEX ends. It is the route to Batangas Port for RoRo trips and to beach destinations in Batangas province.

The Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR Tollway) continues where SLEX ends at Sto. Tomas, running to Batangas City and its international port. It is the expressway of choice for RoRo travelers to Mindoro and the Visayas, and for beach trips to Laiya, Lobo, and Anilao.

Tips for STAR motorists
- Catching an early RoRo? The port is 15 minutes from the Batangas City exit — allow margin for the port queue itself.
- Lipa exit traffic builds on Sundays near SM Lipa; the Ibaan exit can be a smart alternative for east Batangas.

Fares come from the Toll Regulatory Board's published toll rate matrix for the Apolinario Mabini Super Highway — the official name of the STAR Tollway — and cover every plaza pair in all three vehicle classes.
