Manila to Tagaytay Toll Fee

CALAX changed the Tagaytay run considerably: instead of grinding through Sta. Rosa and the Aguinaldo Highway traffic, you can stay on the expressway as far as Silang. The trip crosses two different RFID networks, which catches a lot of drivers out.

Which RFID Do You Need?
Both. This trip crosses expressways run by different operators, using Autosweep and Easytrip RFID. If only one account is loaded you will be stopped part-way through the trip. Load both before you leave — SKYWAY uses Autosweep; SLEX uses Autosweep; CALAX uses Easytrip .
The RFID Trap on This Route
Skyway and SLEX run on Autosweep. CALAX runs on Easytrip. That means a Manila-to-Tagaytay drive needs both accounts loaded — an Autosweep-only car will be stopped at the CALAX plaza. This is the single most common complaint on this corridor.
Exiting for Tagaytay Proper
The Silang (Aguinaldo) exit puts you on Aguinaldo Highway for the final climb to the ridge. Weekend queues build from late morning, so an early start pays off more here than the toll saving from any alternative route.
