One RFID, All Tollways: How Interoperability Works and How to Enrol
By the TollCalculator.ph editorial team · Published September 19, 2026
The short answer: since 21 October 2025 one enrolled RFID tag — Easytrip or Autosweep — is accepted on every expressway in Luzon. Enrolment is free and takes a few minutes online. It is not automatic: a tag that has never been enrolled still works only on its own network. And the two wallets stay separate — enrolling links the tag, not the balance.
What "One RFID, All Tollways" actually is
For years the Philippines ran two incompatible toll networks. Metro Pacific's roads read Easytrip; San Miguel's read Autosweep. Anyone driving Manila to Baguio, or Cavite to Batangas, needed both stickers and both wallets loaded, and an empty second wallet meant a stopped lane somewhere in the middle of the trip.
On 21 October 2025 the Department of Transportation and the Toll Regulatory Board, with Metro Pacific Tollways and San Miguel Tollways, launched interoperability under the name One RFID, All Tollways. An enrolled tag of either brand is now read at every plaza on the Luzon system:
| Network | Expressways where an enrolled tag of either brand now works |
|---|---|
| Easytrip roads (Metro Pacific) | NLEX, SCTEX, NLEX Connector, CAVITEX, CALAX, C5 Link |
| Autosweep roads (San Miguel) | SLEX, Skyway, TPLEX, STAR, NAIAX, MCX |
How to enrol — it is free, and you do it with the tag you already have
You do not get a new sticker. You register the one on your windscreen for cross-network use, with the provider that issued it:
- Autosweep tag: enrol at autosweeprfid-online.com/interop.
- Easytrip tag: enrol through easytrip.ph, under the "One RFID, All Tollways" option.
Either way you will need your account details, a valid government ID and your vehicle registration (OR/CR). There is no fee. If a site or a message asks you to pay to "activate interoperability", it is not the operator.
What it does not do
- It does not merge your wallets. Enrolment links the tag, not the balance. You still top up with the issuer whose sticker you carry, and that is the balance every plaza on both networks deducts from. Our guides on checking an Autosweep balance and checking an Easytrip balance still apply, one or the other.
- It does not enrol you by itself. Having a tag is not the same as being enrolled. Until you register, the old rule stands: your tag works on its own network only.
- It does not change the fares. You pay each operator's published toll for the road you are on. Use the toll calculator or the full toll matrix for the figures.
Do you still need two stickers?
Only if you want two wallets. Some drivers keep both so a company car can be reloaded from a company account on one network and a personal account on the other; that still works. For most people the point of the programme is that a second sticker is now optional, and if you have been topping up two accounts to drive to Baguio, you can stop.
If you are getting a tag for the first time, pick the network whose roads you drive most — that is where the installation sites and customer service are — and enrol it. Our RFID sticker guide covers where to go and what to bring, and the Easytrip vs Autosweep comparison settles the choice.
Frequently asked questions
Is One RFID, All Tollways free?
Yes. Enrolment costs nothing and uses the sticker you already have.
Does my Autosweep tag now work on NLEX?
Once enrolled, yes — and an enrolled Easytrip tag works on SLEX, Skyway, TPLEX, STAR, NAIAX and MCX.
Which wallet gets charged on the other network?
The wallet of the provider that issued your tag. An enrolled Autosweep tag on NLEX deducts from your Autosweep balance.
I enrolled but was stopped at a plaza. Why?
The usual causes are an enrolment that did not complete, a low balance, or a tag that reads poorly. Check the balance first, then confirm the enrolment with your provider.
Where these details came from
The launch date, participating agencies and enrolment channels above were checked in September 2026 against GMA News coverage of the launch and Easytrip's own published guidance. Enrolment URLs and requirements are the operators' to change; treat their channels as final. We are an independent reference site and are not affiliated with either operator, the DOTr or the TRB.
